The deposit for the land and air is non-refundable. Insurance is available that will reimburse you for your cancellation penalties should you cancel for a COVERED reason. If purchased within 14 days of making your deposit the covered reasons will include cancellation for work reasons. In addition to cancellation the insurance covers post-departure events such as missed connections, trip delays, and emergency medical expense while traveling. The premium is based on your age and the cost of your trip. I recommend a policy that covers your non-refundable deposit and then amending it in June when the second deposit is due to cover your full cost.
